Digipak - Collecting and Analysing Ideas

After researching digipak ideas it helped us to gain an understanding on what to include on our digipak. Also the focus group helped us to make a decision on whether to use a photograph or not. Due to the positive feedback on using a photograph, we decided to take pictures which we may use.

This image can be seen as being relevent to our music video, this is because we may get one of the characters to wear this necklace. By having close up shots of it in our music video, it means that if we use this image on our digipak then the digipak will have reference to our music video. However the problem with this image is that it is not very eye catching and most of the left image is blank. This could mean that using this image may make our digipak look very dull.

This is an image which was taken by another group member. The girl in the image is one of the characters in our music video. If we were to use this image on the digipak it has a good reference to the music video itself. Also we believe this image is better than the previous image as the trees make a good backdrop. They also provide the image with a more full look, and it doesn’t look like the frame is empty.

Here is the same image which a member of my group cropped on photoshop, he kept it to the same dimentions which will be needed on the digipak, so it could still be useful. In my opinion I do not like this image as much as the previous one. This is because in the first image I like how the green of the leaves contrasts with the brown on the floor. This is something which needs to be discussed as a group.

This image was taken a while ago, we thought it could be used as it is a cute image which matches the whole ‘vibe’ of our music video. However it may not be relevant to our digipak, this is because it may only be useful if we included some blurred lights in our footage.
