Different types of music videos often use different props, you can often determine a genre of music due to the prop used.
Instruments; these often include piano's and guitars, they are usually the most common

DJ Decks; these are often used in clubland and dance music, David Guetta often uses them i his videos as he is a DJ.

Expensive Cars; These are often used in Rap and urban music
